AavanJavanGUJARAT ↔ UNITED KINGDOM

How it works.
Who does what.

A clear starting point for senders, travellers and recipients on the Gujarat–UK route.

How does the pilot work?

  1. Submit an enquiry with your route, date, postcode or PIN code and item or space details.
  2. An administrator reviews the information and may contact you to clarify it. There is no automatic acceptance or guarantee of a match.
  3. If a possible match exists, both parties review the exact contents, practical arrangements and legal requirements. No item should be handed over until those questions are resolved.
  4. Any future carrying service needs a compliant operating process and clear booking terms. The current site collects enquiries only.

Before you agree

AavanJavan provides an introduction and coordination service. We do not currently accept payments or confirm transport. A reviewed enquiry is not customs clearance, an identity guarantee or insurance.

For this pilot, do not request medicines, food, liquids, batteries, jewellery, cash, identity documents, weapons, controlled goods, counterfeit or high-value items. This is our pilot policy, not an exhaustive customs list.

Official guidance to read

Great Britain guidance covers England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland has different rules; requests involving Northern Ireland need a separate review. Check your airline and transit-country requirements too. Linked rules can change.

Is every item listed here allowed to travel?

No. An item may be legal to own but restricted to transport, import or export. Inspection, a small value, a gift label or a checked box does not make it eligible. The official UK traveller guidance warns against carrying for other people. Confirm the exact arrangement with the relevant authorities or a qualified customs adviser.

What is the sender responsible for?

Accurate contents and value, lawful ownership and permission to send, supporting documents, safe packaging after inspection, and honest communication. Do not conceal items, give misleading declarations or pressure a traveller to accept something they cannot verify.

What is the traveller responsible for?

Deciding whether to accept an item, inspecting it, checking the full route and airline requirements, keeping required documents, making truthful declarations and meeting the legal duties that apply to the person carrying the goods. A sender’s promise does not replace these checks.

What is the recipient responsible for?

Providing accurate delivery details, being available, checking what is received and recording receipt or reporting a problem honestly. Agree any duties or collection costs in advance without assuming that agreement changes who customs can hold responsible.

What does AavanJavan do?

We provide the enquiry platform, review information, coordinate potential introductions and maintain booking records where applicable. We remain responsible for our own service and applicable legal obligations. We do not provide customs clearance, certify contents or guarantee another person’s conduct. Nothing here removes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Does “reviewed” mean verified or insured?

No. In this early access pilot, “reviewed” means an administrator has examined an enquiry. Identity verification and insurance are not provided. Do not assume an airline or personal travel policy covers someone else’s goods or paid carriage.

How much does it cost?

No payment is collected in the current pilot. Future traveller fees and platform charges must be quoted clearly before booking. Any customs duties, taxes or additional costs need separate consideration.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Do not travel with an item whose contents or eligibility are uncertain. Keep relevant records and contact the other party and AavanJavan through the established enquiry contact. If customs detains an item, follow the authority’s instructions. Refunds, compensation and dispute handling need agreed booking terms before a paid service launches; the platform does not currently promise cover for loss or delay.

Why do you need my postcode and PIN code?

They help us assess collection and delivery areas. We check postcode/PIN format, not whether an address exists or a PIN belongs to Gujarat. Administrators check Gujarat coverage manually. These details are private to the review process; do not put a full address, passport or payment details in the description.
